Clearfield High School students will have expanded opportunities to learn, explore careers, and build real-world skills following the addition of a new Career and Technical Education (CTE) building, according to a notice from the Davis School District.
A ribbon cutting ceremony was held to celebrate the new facility, which consolidates 15 CTE programs into a single building.
The programs housed in the new building include agriculture, automotive, business, CNA, composites, computer science, culinary arts, digital media, engineering, family and consumer sciences, health sciences, photography, video production, welding, and woodworking construction.
During the program held before the ribbon cutting, speakers discussed the importance of CTE education and the opportunities the facility provides for students. Speakers included Principal TJ Barker, Davis School District Board Member Kristen Hogan, DSD CTE Director Brian Hunt, and Superintendent Dr. Dan Linford.
The facility is designed to help students connect classroom education with hands-on learning and future careers. By bringing the programs together in a dedicated space, students will have more resources to develop skills for college, career, and life after high school.
The project was funded by the Davis School District’s 2022 Building Generations bond, which was approved by Davis County voters. The bond represents an investment in expanding student opportunities across the district.
