Intermountain Healthcare announced in a June 12 announcement that its air and ambulance services operate 24/7, providing medical transport from bases in Utah, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Nevada, Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico.
Fleet and coverage details
The organization's fleet consists of more than 40 planes and helicopters, along with over 20 ground ambulances. These services support both domestic and international transport for rural and urban locations.
Specialized clinical care capabilities
Clinical services offered through the transport teams include adult, neonatal, and pediatric critical care. Specialized care capabilities feature complex ventilatory support, ECMO, and high-risk obstetric care provided by certified nurses and physicians.
History of combined operations
The current transport entity represents the combination of several previously separate operations, including Intermountain Life Flight, Classic Air Medical, MedX Air One, Care Flight of the Rockies, and Help Flight. The combined service brings over 48 years of specialized experience to its medical transport operations.
