The Loa Town Council is scheduled to meet on Oct. 8, 2026, to address a variety of municipal and waterworks business items. According to a notice published Oct. 7, the meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. at 80 West Center in Loa.
The agenda for the meeting includes a review of arsenic results and a maintenance report from Cody Peterson. Council members will also provide reports during the session.
Scheduled action items for the meeting include the approval of culinary water for three meters for the Don Behunin subdivision. The council is also expected to review and sign September bank reconciliations, deposits, financial reports, and minutes. Additionally, the council will consider approving October accounts payable, a delinquent water listing for September, and insulation quotes for the Civic Center. Other action items include approving annual paychecks for the town council to be paid in November and an amendment to building standard requirements regarding drainage.
Business items on the agenda include a Brock R6 report, information regarding Textmygov accounts, and IRA/401K information. The council will also discuss out-of-town connections resolution 7-9-2020. A closed session is scheduled for reasons permitted under UCA 52-4-205(1)(c) to discuss strategy sessions for pending or reasonably imminent litigation.
The meeting is expected to conclude by 9:30 p.m. The next monthly meeting is scheduled for a different time due to the daylight savings time change.
The Loa Town Council is led by Mayor Cody Grundy, Town Clerk Michelle Brian, and Town Treasurer Amber Perkins. The council also includes members Derek Woolsey, Kori Brown, Chris Olsen, and Don Bone.
