The SLCC Community Writing Center has permanently closed following 25 years of service to the Salt Lake community.
As part of the closure, information regarding the center's history, archives, and future plans has been made available.
The entire archive of files and publications from the SLCC Community Writing Center will be housed at the State of Utah Division of Archives and Record Service. These contents have been delivered and are currently awaiting processing.
A portion of the archive will also be placed in the WAC Repository, which is also awaiting processing.
For those interested in the history of the center, a publication titled Everyone Can Write: Remembering the SLCC Community Writing Center is available for viewing.
The Salt Lake Young Writers Anthology has moved to the Salt Lake County Library for Fall 2027.
Additionally, a new organization known as CWC 2.0 has been formed by volunteers. This group will be applying for non-profit status.
