Harrisville City is calling for community members to assist with the upcoming America 250 event. The Community Events Committee has announced several volunteer opportunities for the celebration taking place on August 1, 2026.
Volunteers are needed to help manage Honor Field through both setup and take-down processes.
Additionally, the committee is looking for individuals to staff various service project activities. These tasks include a food drive, a beautification project, and writing letters to military service members and families. Other roles involve managing a raffle and distributing volunteer t-shirts.
For those interested in musical participation, there is also an opportunity to become a member of the Community String Orchestra.
