Bates fire burning in Tooele County mapped at 30 acres, forward progression stopped
TOOELE COUNTY (ABC4) — Forward progress has been stopped on the Bates fire that started east of Stansbury Park in Tooele County on Wednesday. According to Utah Fire Info, the fire is mapped at 30 acres. No structures are currently threatened, though communication towers are located on the ridge above the fire.

The blaze, named the Bates Fire, was reported near the base of Bates Canyon Road, according to the North Tooele Fire District.

Benson Grist Mill celebrates pioneers
