State officials are emphasizing that bringing a life jacket to the water is not enough, stating that individuals actually need to wear them for safety.
According to officials, life jackets are required for children until they reach age 13. The requirement also extends to anyone on Utah's rivers and those being towed, such as individuals on water skis or in an inner tube.
