Real Salt Lake travels to San Jose for a Halloween matinee on Saturday, Oct. 31, following a 2-1 comeback win against Austin FC on Wednesday. The victory moved the club above the playoff line as the 2026 MLS regular season enters its final two matches.
The win on Wednesday was the second of two road games for the team this week. Real Salt Lake arrives in San Jose having been unbeaten in its last four matches, having secured 13 points from its last six games, including consecutive road wins at Kansas City and Austin. The club currently holds a record of 12 wins, 14 losses, and 6 draws, totaling 42 points. They are positioned ninth in the West, one point behind Colorado and Seattle. Real Salt Lake is also one point ahead of the 10th-place LA Galaxy for the final Western Wild Card berth.
The upcoming match against the San Jose Earthquakes features a broadcast on Apple TV with English-language commentary by Keith Costigan and Maurice Edu. Spanish-language analysis will be provided by Diego Pessolano and Max Cordaro. KSL Radio will feature David James and Jay Nolly, while Manuel Hernández, Willy Barrueta, and Isidro López will provide the Spanish call on KBMG Latino 106.3 FM. Real Salt Lake seeks to avenge a 1-1 draw against the Earthquakes that occurred two weeks ago at America First Field in Sandy.
RSL rookie Sergi Solans has recorded 18 goals across all competitions this season, including 14 in his debut MLS campaign. He requires three more goals in his final two games to match the club records of 17 goals set by Arango in 2024 and Saborio in 2012. Additionally, Morgan Guilavogui has recorded four goals and 10 assists in his inaugural season, though he is suspended for the San Jose game due to yellow card accumulation. Head coach Pablo Mastroeni has managed the club for 220 matches, recording 89 wins, 80 losses, and 51 draws since late August 2021.
Real Salt Lake concludes the regular season on Nov. 7 in Sandy against the LA Galaxy for Decision Day. The club aims to improve upon its current 12-4-4 record in Sandy.
