Young athletes compete at their first race of the season
On Sept. 1st, 2026, 44 young women and 80 young men gathered together at Grantsville Junior High School to compete in the first race of the 2026 Tooele County cross country season. The course was approximately two miles long and followed a route through the grassy field, around the front of the school, out to the Hale Street stop sign, back to the grassy field, and then looped around once more.

Golden Eagles overtake Buffaloes, followed by losses
The Tooele Buffaloes girls's varsity soccer team had an away game on Aug 31 against the Deseret Peak Golden Eagles. The Buffs scored the first point of the game, but it was followed by the Eagles when senior Dailey Dearden (#2) scored a goal, ending the half 1-1.

Stallions trample Bear River Bears — demolished by Green Canyon Wolves
The Stansbury Stallions girls's varsity soccer team had a home game on Aug 31 against the Bear River Bears. Within the first ten minutes of the game, both teams scored one point each. However, with a little over a minute left in the first half, sophomore Mollie Hymas (#10) lined a shot toward the goal that was narrowly blocked by the goalie mere feet from the net.
