Canyons School District released the schedule for its 2026 graduation ceremonies, marking the conclusion of 12 years of education for students in the district. The commencement events celebrate the achievements of the Class of 2026 across various high schools and specialty programs.
Comprehensive high school dates
The district's five comprehensive high schools scheduled their ceremonies for late May and early June. On Wednesday, May 27, Alta High, Brighton High, Corner Canyon High, Hillcrest High, and Jordan High held their commencements.
Diamond Ridge and Entrada schedules
Diamond Ridge High scheduled its graduation for Thursday, May 28, while Entrada High was set to hold its ceremony on Wednesday, June 10.
Specialty school ceremony dates
Specialty school completion ceremonies were also announced. Jordan Valley School scheduled its event for Friday, May 22, and Life Skills Academy scheduled its ceremony for Thursday, May 28.
Event locations and start times
Specific locations and times for the events included:
Alta High held its ceremony at 10 a.m. at the UCCU Events Center at Utah Valley University.
Brighton High, Hillcrest High, and Jordan High utilized the Maverik Center for their ceremonies, with start times of 9:30 a.m., 6:30 p.m., and 2 p.m. respectively.
Corner Canyon High held its ceremony at 2:30 p.m. at the UCCU Events Center at Utah Valley University.
Diamond Ridge High ceremonies took place at 5 p.m. at the Alta High Performing Arts Center, and Entrada High held its event at 7 p.m. at the same location.
Livestream options for remote viewing
To accommodate family and friends unable to attend in person, the district noted that these events were livestreamed to allow remote viewing of the milestones.
