GRAND COUNTY, Utah, Aug. 17, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — A new wildfire was discovered Saturday in a remote area of the Book Cliffs mountains in Grand County. The wildfire, named the Slough Canyon Fire, has grown to about 40 acres.
