The Wasatch Trails Foundation announced a ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for May 29, 2026, to celebrate the grand opening of the first-ever asphalt pumptrack in the Wasatch Back at Southfield Park.
Event details and festivities
The event, which runs from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., will include a formal ceremony with the Heber Valley Chamber. Planned festivities for the opening include live music from local band Blown Out, food trucks, an ice cream truck, and various giveaways.
Location and park amenities
The new pumptrack is located at Southfield Park, situated at the corner of Midway Lane and Southfield Road in Heber City. According to Wasatch County Parks and Recreation, the park also offers amenities such as ball diamonds, pickleball courts, a playground, a skate park, and sand volleyball.
Community partners and raffle prizes
The celebration will involve several community organizations, including the Gravity Coalition, Wasatch Community Foundation, and WomenMTB. Raffle prizes for the event include a Specialized P.3 Dirt Jumper, a Thule ReVert 6-Bike Upright Hitch Rack, and a gift basket featuring top-brand merchandise.
