Riverdale City has announced its schedule for the 2026 Old Glory Days celebration, featuring a parade with an extended route and a July 4th lineup that includes a sunrise service and live entertainment.
Morning July 4th festivities
The July 4th festivities in Riverdale will begin with a cannon blast at 6 a.m., followed by a sunrise service featuring Utah House of Representatives Speaker Mike Schultz at 7 a.m. The day's programming also includes the Stars and Stripes 5K Run, a Lions Club Breakfast, and the Pedals and Paws parade at 9 a.m.
Parade route and traffic updates
The Old Glory Days parade will feature an extended route starting at the corner of 700 West and 3950 South, traveling south on 700 West before turning west on 4400 South. City officials noted that between 7:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on July 4, traffic on 3950 South will be restricted to eastbound only.
Other Utah municipal schedules
Other Utah municipalities are maintaining regular legislative and community schedules. The Elk Ridge City Council held a meeting on June 9, following its standing schedule of the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month.
