Robb Strong has served as a longtime volunteer for the Lehi Historical Society for nearly 10 years, according to a report published August 21. Strong has assisted the organization by scanning and uploading thousands of photographs to the Society's nearly 5,000 biography files while greeting visitors and sharing local knowledge.
Strong has been a presence at the Historical Society since its early days when meetings were held in a small building near the Lehi Skate Park. During that time, volunteers often brought their own folding chairs for monthly gatherings.
A lifelong Lehi resident, Strong attended Lehi Elementary, Lehi Jr High, and Lehi High School. He finished his high school requirements early to attend Utah Valley Community College and later earned an associate degree from Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho, in 1987.
During his youth, Strong worked as a newspaper delivery person for The Daily Herald, delivering to 100 homes. He also participated in student government during junior high and was elected mayor as part of a fourth-grade civics project.
The Lehi Historical Society describes Strong as a dependable worker and a link between current residents and previous generations of Lehi families.
