Project Description

The BLM proposes to implement lop and scatter vegetation treatments targeting trees encroaching into sagebrush communities to improve sagebrush habitat and minimize wildfire risk. Hand crews would travel on foot while conducting lop and scatter work and would only use established roads for vehicle travel to and from identified treatment areas. The proposed treatments would be conducted between September 1 and November 30 to minimize impacts to wildlife.

What's New

The decision approving the proposed action was signed October 2, 2026. The final CE and DR were uploaded to this site page October 5, 2026.

This website provides the latest information on this project. Throughout the NEPA process, this website will be updated to include background documents, maps, meeting announcements, published bulletins, and other documents as applicable.
