Three Davis School District educators were recognized as 2026 Show Up for Teachers Honors in Education honorees. The educators were identified among Utah's outstanding education professionals during the annual Honors in Education Gala.
The honorees included Hollie Fisher, a fourth-grade teacher at Lakeside Elementary, Amber McCord, an administrative intern at Ellison Park Elementary, and Ken Wright, an English teacher at Syracuse High School.
The gala was held in conjunction with First Lady Abby Cox's Show Up for Teachers initiative. The event was designed to celebrate educators from across Utah whose leadership, service, and commitment impact students, schools, and communities.
While serving in different roles, Fisher, McCord, and Wright were noted for their shared commitment to student success. Their dedication to learning, leadership, and meaningful relationships was cited as a reflection of excellence within the Davis School District.
