People should stay out of the San Juan River and keep children, livestock and pets away from the water and nearby floodwater, San Juan County Public Health said. Tests found E. coli levels above safe limits. Do not swim or play in the river, and do not use untreated river water for drinking, cooking, washing or other household needs, officials said.
