The Adams Fire in Weber County has grown to an estimated 45 acres and is currently 10% contained. The fire was first discovered on Monday near Washington Terrace.
According to news releases from the Weber County Sheriff’s Office and Utah Fire Info, most previously evacuated residents have been allowed to return to their homes. However, evacuation orders remain in effect for those living in the lower area south of 5700 South (Combe Way).
The Weber County Sheriff’s Office has asked the public to avoid the area and follow all road closures. Officials also issued a reminder that operating a drone near a wildfire is illegal because it grounds helicopters that are actively fighting the fire.
The cause of the Adams Fire has not yet been determined.
