The races include a 2K and a 4K distance. According to the city's website, all finishers receive a unique medal honoring the Dixie Days pioneer spirit. Awards are also provided for the top three men and women, as well as the top three male and female youth participants aged 12 and under in both distances.
Registration for the 4K is $35 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under. The 2K is priced at $25 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under. The notice also states that the city is seeking volunteers to assist with the races.
The race start and packet pickup location is 200 S at 400 E, by the Pickleball Courts. The start time is scheduled for 7:45 AM, with packet pickup beginning at 7:00 AM.
For the 2K race, runners turn around at 400 E. The 4K course continues to 164 W 100 S, where participants will find the turnaround, bathrooms, and an aid station. Due to limited street parking near Vernon Worthen Park, carpooling is highly encouraged.
