The Secure Protocol at Kearns High has been lifted and school is proceeding as normal and will end at the regularly scheduled time. Law enforcement was investigating reports of an altercation in the parking lot that appears to have started off-campus with a road rage incident. No weapons have been located by law enforcement.
To reiterate, the Secure Protocol was initiated out of abundance of caution under the direction of law enforcement. We’re thankful to law enforcement and school administration for their rapid response to this situation.

Kearns High has entered a Secure Protocol at the direction of law enforcement. The protocol was initiated by law enforcement out of an abundance of caution while they investigate reports of a suspicious circumstance in our parking lot.
Parents, please do not come to the school at this time. During a Secure Protocol, the outside doors are locked, and no one is allowed in or out of the building. School is proceeding as normal inside the building. To reiterate, this protocol has been initiated out of an abundance of caution.
