The Huntsville Town Council is scheduled to hold a work session and a regular meeting on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2026, according to a notice published Oct. 5.
The public meetings will be held at the Huntsville Town Hall, located at 7474 E. 200 S., beginning with a work session at 4:30 p.m. followed by a regular session at 6:00 p.m.
The scheduled work session at 4:30 p.m. is intended to address the alleyway located at 6750 E. between 100 S. and 200 N.
During the regular session starting at 6:00 p.m., Mayor Richard Sorensen will welcome attendees, and Lewis Johnson is scheduled to lead an opening ceremony. The agenda includes a Sheriff report and a public comment period where residents will be allotted three minutes each. Additionally, the council will review the approval of the September bills.
Several action items are on the agenda for the Oct. 8 meeting, including the approval of minutes from the Sept. 17, 2026, Town Council Meeting. The council will also consider several boundary line adjustments involving GRE parcels, Town parcels, Fire station parcels, Ski Town parcels, and The Church parcels.
Other items for discussion or action include Ordinance 2026-9-3 Title 2 Administration and Resolution 2026-10-08-B regarding the Johansen Construction Contract. The council is also scheduled to consider Resolution 2026-10-08-A for an interlocal agreement with Weber County for election services, as well as $3,500 for grading work at the Green Waste Facility.
The meeting will include updates from Mayor Richard Sorensen and Councilmembers Bruce Ahlstrom, Sandy Hunter, Lewis Johnson, and Jim Truett.
