A memorial visitation for McKenna is scheduled for June 19 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Hyde Park Stake Center, according to information provided by Allen Mortuaries and the Logan Herald Journal. Funeral services will follow on Saturday, June 20, at 10:00 a.m.
Medical education and career
McKenna, 44, was a graduate of Utah State University and Washington University in St. Louis. After completing a residency in general surgery in Denver, Colorado, he returned to his hometown to work with Intermountain Healthcare and as the Trauma Director at Logan Regional Hospital.
Personal passions and achievements
Beyond his medical career, McKenna was known for his passion for music and mountaineering. He had successfully summited the highest point in each of the 50 U.S. states, as well as Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa.
Surviving family members
McKenna is survived by his wife, Sarah, and their two children, Callum and Jade. He was the son of Reed and Paulette McKenna.
