The Salt Lake City Fire Department responded to an apartment fire at 1930 South West Temple street on October 19. The incident was reported as a single alarm fire.
Crews reached a stage where the fire was under control and worked toward complete extinguishment. The fire has since been extinguished, and crews remained on scene to complete mop up operations.
Officials requested that the public avoid the area during the incident. A media staging area was designated at the corner of W Temple and MacArthur Ave on the north end of the incident site.
