Eagle Point Resort today announced that it will not operate for the 2026-27 winter season due to the significant impacts of the Cottonwood Fire on the resort's lift infrastructure, ski terrain, and surrounding forest lands. While ongoing access challenges have complicated damage assessments and recovery efforts, resort officials determined there is insufficient time to safely complete the inspections, repairs, restoration work, and operational preparations necessary to open for the upcoming winter season.
