The Salt Lake County Library Services Board of Directors is scheduled to hold a regular meeting on Monday, Sept. 28, 2026, at the Taylorsville branch, according to a September 24 notice. The meeting will convene at 12:30 p.m. at 4870 S 2700 W in Taylorsville.
The meeting agenda includes several action items and presentations. Library Director Joey McNamee will lead the welcome, and the board is expected to vote on approving minutes from the Aug. 24, 2026, board meeting. Other scheduled action items include a discussion on a filming policy with Marketing and Community Engagement Manager Sara Neal, a reconsideration of the Materials and Services Policy with Senior Manager of Collections Christa Warren, and a discussion regarding early holiday closures. Additionally, the board will address ethics training with Librarian Dolly Rauh and 2027 budget requests presented by Associate Director Brad Kendrick and Fiscal Manager Carrie Hackworth.
The meeting will also feature a presentation on summer reading and the Governor's Read-a-Thon by Lifelong Learning Manager Nyssa Fleig. Following the agenda items, Joey McNamee will deliver a director's report. The session is scheduled to conclude with a tour of the Taylorsville branch led by Christina Walsh, Facilities Manager Shaun Dimick, and Construction Project Manager Luke Rasmussen.
