The 2026 Great Salt Lake Issues Forum has released a program schedule detailing various presentations and sessions. Held in the Douglas Ballroom and Granite Ballroom, the event features discussions on conservation, water rights, and lake management.
The schedule includes an opening ceremony featuring Brad Wilson, CEO of Utah 2034 Winter Olympics. Keynote speaker Egor Zadereev, President of the International Society of Salt Lake Research, is scheduled to discuss global perspectives on Saline Lake conservation.
Sessions will cover topics such as long-term lessons from coordinated science at the Great Salt Lake, presented by Anna McEntire of the Janet Quinney Lawson Institute. Other scheduled discussions include water rights for the Great Salt Lake and the efficacy of seeding winter storms over mountainous regions, presented by Peter Veals of the University of Utah.
Other scheduled presentations involve updates to the Great Salt Lake Management Plans and discussions on potential dust control options.
