Fishlake National ForestMonrovian Park ClosurePROHIBITIONSPursuant to 16 U.S.C. 551 and 36 C.F.R. 261.50(a) and (b), the following acts are prohibited in the National Forest System (NFS) lands, roads, and trails within the Richfield Ranger District of the Fishlake National Forest, which is closed for public safety due to flash flood potential. It is prohibited to go into or be upon the area, trails, and roads described below, which are closed for the protection of Public Health and Safety. 36 C.F.R. 261.52(e), 36 C.F.R. 261.55(a), 36 C.F.R. 261.54(e), and 36 C.F.R. 261.53(e).EXEMPTIONSPursuant to 36 C.F.R. 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this Order:Persons with Forest Service Permit No. FS-7700-48 (Permit for Use of Roads, Trails, or Areas Restricted by Regulation or Order), specifically exempting them from this Order or a written determination by a Forest Service authorized officer that permit is not required under 36 C.F.R. 251.50(e)(1) or (2). Any Federal, State, or Local Officer, or member of an organized rescue or firefighting force in the performance of an official duty. AREA DESCRIBEDArea Closure: the area closed by this Order is depicted on the Map attached hereto as Exhibit A, which is incorporated herein by reference and is generally described as: Beginning at the intersection of Forest Road 078 and Forest Road 161 100 yards to the North side of Forest Road 161 going east to the intersection Forest Trail 085 East along Forest Trail 085 100 yards on both sides of the trail to the intersection with Forest Trail 193. From the intersection of Forest Trail 085 and Forest Road 161 to the end of Forest Road 161 West to the North side of Forest Road 078 along Forest Road 078 West back to the intersection of Forest Road 078 and Forest Road 161. Forest Trail 085IMPLEMENTATIONThis Order shall be in effect from July 1, at 00:01 and will remain in effect until September 30, at 23:59 annually until September 30, 2030, or until rescinded, whichever is sooner. A map identifying the Described Area is attached and made part of this Order as Exhibit A. Unless otherwise expressly defined in this Order, the terms used in this Order are defined by the regulations of the Secretary of Agriculture, 36 C.F.R. Chapter II, Parts 200-299. If there are terms in this Order that are not expressly defined in the Order or 36 C.F.R. Chapter II, Parts 200-299, their meaning shall be determined by their plain language definitions.A violation of the above prohibitions is punishable as a Class B misdemeanor by a fine of not more than $5,000 for individuals and $10,000 for organizations, or by imprisonment for not more than six months, or bot. 16 U.S.C. § 551; 18 U.S.C. §§ 3559, 3571, and 3581.Contact the Fishlake National Forest Supervisor's Office in Richfield, Utah, (495) 896-9223, for more information about this Order.This Order supersedes any previous Orders prohibiting the same or similar acts in the same Described Area.
