Utah Valley University's President's Scholarship Ball serves as the university's premier scholarship fundraising event to support high-performing students. The event seeks to remove financial barriers, allowing students to focus on earning degrees and reaching their full potential through the Presidential Scholarship.
The scholarship program has been opening doors for 36 years. According to information from the university, the 2025 President's Scholarship Ball raised $1.3 million for students. During the 2025-26 academic year, 1,435 students were awarded a total of 1,683 scholarships. Additionally, 333 students received four-year, full-tuition scholarships in fall 2025, with 52% of those students coming from Utah County.
Since the 2025 President's Scholarship Ball, 23 new scholarships have been created to support UVU students across various colleges, majors, and needs levels. Presidential Scholars include students such as aviation student Presly Truong, bioinformatics student Olivia Frary, and finance student Adam Guthrie. Truong noted that the scholarship helps make long-term goals attainable, while Guthrie expressed that the scholarship enables him to focus on his studies.
The President's Scholarship Ball is held at the UCCU Center in Orem. The event program includes a reception at 5:30 pm followed by dinner and a program at 7:00 pm. Sponsoring the event allows organizations to connect with influential business and university leaders and demonstrate a commitment to education and community impact.
