The Riverdale City Planning Commission is scheduled to hold a public hearing on Oct. 27, 2026, to consider a rezoning request and a general plan amendment for a property located at the corner of 1500 W and Ritter Drive, according to a notice published Oct. 13.
The proposed changes involve amending the Future Land Use Map designation for approximately .90 acres from Detached Residential to Commercial. This portion of the property is identified as Weber County parcel no. 085050004. The request also includes a zoning map amendment and a preliminary commercial development plan to rezone the same .90-acre portion from Single-Family Residential (R-1-6) to Regional Planned Commercial (CP-3).
The development plan includes a 7,200 square foot commercial building with associated parking and utilities. The requests relate to a proposed three-lot subdivision consisting of two single-family residential lots that would retain R-1-6 zoning and one commercial lot that would receive CP-3 zoning. Only the commercial portion is proposed for the General Plan and zoning changes.
The public hearing is scheduled for approximately 6:00 p.m. at the City Council/Court chambers located at the Riverdale Civic Center at 4600 S. Weber River Drive. Interested persons may provide oral testimony at the hearing or submit written comments to the City Recorder at mmarigoni@riverdaleutah.gov. The Planning Commission's recommendation will be forwarded to the City Council for final action.
