The Washington City Planning Commission is scheduled to hold a public hearing on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, to review two separate commercial development applications involving new food service and office construction within the city.
New Food Service Proposal Under Review
According to a public hearing notice issued by Washington City, the commission will meet at 6:00 P.M. at Washington City Hall, located at 111 North 100 East. The session is intended for the consideration and recommendation of two distinct conditional use permits to the City Council.
The first item on the agenda involves Conditional Use Permit C-26-06, which seeks approval for a multi-tenant quick service food service building. This development project is proposed for the property located at 1309 East Twin Rock Cove and has been submitted by applicant Braden Hancock.
Commercial Expansion on Red Cliffs Drive
The second development proposal scheduled for discussion involves Conditional Use Permit C-26-05. This application, submitted by Greens Development, requests permission for the construction of three new commercial buildings.
The proposed site for this multi-building project is located at 912 West Red Cliffs Drive. The commission will evaluate these applications to provide formal recommendations to the Washington City Council.
Public Participation and Comment Period
Residents interested in participating in the hearing have several options for engagement. The meeting will be broadcast via YouTube Live, with a link available through the Washington City website. Attendees are also welcome to participate in person at City Hall.
For those unable to attend live, Washington City provides an online portal for public comment titled "Items Available for Public Comment." This portal opens on the Friday preceding the meeting and remains open for submissions until 5:00 P.M. on the day before the scheduled hearing.
