First produced in 2005, The Last Days of Judas Iscariot has continued to challenge audiences with its unusual combination of contemporary language, dark humor, religious questions, and deeply human characters. In Guirgis’s imagined courtroom, Judas is on trial for his betrayal of Jesus, but the case quickly becomes much larger than the actions of one man.
