Emery claimed the top team position at the Utah UHSAA State XC Championships 2025 for the 3A Girls 3 Mile event. The competition, held at Sugarhouse Park in Salt Lake City, saw Emery finish with 71.00 points, narrowly defeating Carbon High, which finished with 73.00 points.
Canyon View took third place in the team standings with a score of 83.00, while Ogden placed fourth with 110.00 points. Richfield rounded out the top five teams with 114.00 points.
In the individual standings, Rozlyn Stowe of Carbon High secured first place with a time of 17:12.67. Avery Barton representing Ogden took second place with a time of 17:57.31.
Gentry Christiansen from Emery earned third place with an 18:02.02 finish. The top ten individual finishers also included Addyson Guymon of Emery, Josie Yates of Carbon High, Kaylee Nielsen of Union High School, Ember Sorenson of Canyon View, Emeline Fife of Canyon View, Addie Hurst of Emery, and Jane Whittle of Grantsville.
Other notable team performances in the 3A Girls 3 Mile event included Union High School finishing sixth with 132.00 points, Grantsville seventh with 186.00, and Manti eighth with 192.00. The lower end of the top ten featured North Sanpete in ninth with 250.00 points and Morgan in tenth with 255.00 points.
