Preemptive evacuation orders for cabins and yurts north of Beryl were issued after the Sawmill Fire erupted. The fire, which sparked near Steamboat Mountain, saw significant growth during Tuesday night.
The fire was originally reported at 60 acres on Tuesday. However, by nighttime, the size of the blaze had grown to 900 acres.
Officials stated that the evacuation orders were issued for residents in cabins and yurts located north of Beryl.
