Audition sign-ups for a production of Disney's Mary Poppins Jr. are officially open for Bountiful Elementary students in grades 3–6. The production is being organized and managed by the Bountiful Elementary PTA.
Before auditions begin, families interested in participating must attend an informational meeting on Monday, November 2, 2026, from 5:30–6:15 p.m. At least one parent or guardian of every student wishing to audition must be present at this meeting, though students do not need to attend.
Auditions are scheduled for Tuesday, November 17, and Wednesday, November 18, 2026, from 3:45–6:15 p.m. in Room 1112. The audition format involves groups of four students performing in 10-minute time slots. Families are asked to reserve a slot using the student's name and arrive at least five minutes before the scheduled time.
Rehearsals are scheduled to begin November 30, with regular practices held on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday mornings from 7:30–8:50 a.m. and Friday afternoons from 1:30–3:00 p.m. Performances are scheduled for March 9–12, 2027. Participating families are expected to contribute a minimum of four volunteer hours per student or select a $100 volunteer opt-out option.
This production follows a six-week Musical Theater Workshop held earlier this fall for Bountiful Elementary students. The program aims to help students learn to collaborate, communicate, and practice skills through musical theater.
