SANPETE, EMERY counties, Aug. 19, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — The Black Canyon Fire, sparked by lighting July 30 near the boarder of Sanpete and Emery counties, now stands at 3,571 acres and 47% contained. Resources assigned are five aircraft, 20 engines, 556 personnel, 15 crews and three dozers.
