Canyonland Nat’l Park pauses backcountry activities in The Needles district

CANYONLANDS NATIONAL PARK, Utah, June 28, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — Canyonlands National Park has “paused” backcountry activities in Needles District due to a wildfire. The Babylon Fire is burning near Blanding. The Canyonlands announcement, posted Sunday afternoon, is effective immediately, the social media post said. The Needles Visitor Center is closed.
