Logan Parks and Recreation has released a schedule of upcoming community events, including the 2026 America 250 Celebration and Pioneer Day. The department also highlighted various park updates, including construction-related closures and new hiring opportunities within its divisions.
The America 250 Celebration is scheduled for Friday, July 3. Activities at Willow Park will include food trucks, live music from the Lonely Hearts Club Band and Mile Marker 6 Band, and fireworks starting at 10:00 pm. At Laub Plaza, attendees can view classic cars during Horsepower on Center Street, followed by performances by the Hartebeest Band and DJ Manny. The Soccer Complex will also host food trucks and a live broadcast from Cache Valley Radio.
On Saturday, July 4, the Lean Canteen Band will perform live during the Cruise-In Parade at Laub Plaza. Additionally, the city is preparing for 2026 Pioneer Day, with festivities planned for Friday, July 24, at Willow Park.
Regarding park maintenance, Trapper Park at 1497 South 1600 West is closed for major construction and upgrades. The closure began on Monday, September 22, and is expected to continue through Spring 2026.

Logan Parks and Recreation continues to manage several community programs, such as the Step It Up program, which offers rewards like passes to the Logan Aquatic Center or Community Recreation Center for walking milestones. The department also maintains various regulations regarding park usage, including leash requirements for dogs and restrictions on attaching items to trees.
