Join us for our Back-to-School Event on Monday, August 17, from 4:00–6:00 p.m. This open house-style event provides an opportunity to meet teachers, tour the school, and prepare for the first day of school.

2. Complete Your Annual PowerSchool Update

If you have not already done so, please complete the required Annual PowerSchool Information Update before the school year begins.

3. Student Course Schedules Available August 12

Student schedules will be available in PowerSchool beginning August 12 after the Annual PowerSchool Information Update has been completed.

4. Pay School Fees Beginning August 12

Skip the lines at our Back-to-School Event by paying your child's school fees early!

Beginning August 12, families may pay school fees either:

In person at the school during regular office hours, or

5. Free and Reduced-Price Meal Applications

Families may apply for free or reduced-price meals online.

7. School Community Council Parent Self-Nominations

Parents interested in serving on the School Community Council are invited to self-nominate. Self-nominations close Wednesday, August 26, at 4:00 p.m.

8. District Assessment Calendar & NWEA Testing

Students will begin NWEA testing on Monday, August 24.

9. Student Chromebooks

Students will receive an individual Chromebook for the 2026–2027 school year. Chromebook distribution is planned for August 19–20 during English Language Arts classes. Please review the district's Electronic Device User Agreement for Students.

10. Attendance – Excusing Student Absences

Please excuse student absences within one week of the absence. Provo City School District’s attendance policy states the following, “A parent may excuse an absence via a school approved messaging method within a reasonable timeframe… not to exceed one week after the absence.”

To excuse an absence, please contact our Attendance Secretary, Selene Castro, by visiting the school, calling, or emailing cmsattendance@provo.edu. Phone calls and emails will be verified using the contact information listed in PowerSchool.

11. Safe Routes to School

If your child walks, rides a bicycle, or uses a micromobility device to travel to and from school, please review Centennial Middle School's approved Safe Routes Plan.

As a reminder, bikes and micromobility devices (e.g., scooters) must be walked on school grounds and sidewalks.

15. Timpview Volleyball Camp

From Timpview Volleyball: Join the Timpview High School volleyball program for a fun morning of learning and improving volleyball skills! The camp is open to girls and boys entering grades 3–8, regardless of experience level. Participants will receive instruction from Timpview coaches and players in passing, serving, setting, hitting, teamwork, and game play. Date: Saturday, August 29. Time: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Location: Thunderdome – Timpview High School. Who: Girls & Boys, Grades 3–8. Cost: $50 (includes a camp T-shirt)
