Dixie High is implementing ClassChoice, a new online class change portal that allows students to manage their schedules for the upcoming school year. The system is currently active for different grade levels, with seniors, juniors, and sophomores following specific windows for making changes.
Deadline for schedule changes
ClassChoice will officially close on Wednesday, July 22, at 3:15 PM. School officials noted that classes fill quickly and encouraged students to log in early to improve their chances of receiving preferred classes.
Schedule change windows by grade
The schedule change windows are organized by grade level as follows:
Seniors: July 13 through July 22, 2026.
Juniors: July 15 through July 22, 2026.
Sophomores: July 20 through July 22, 2026.
Upcoming district data outage
A district data center outage is expected from Thursday, July 16 at 4:00 PM through Sunday, July 19. During this period, ClassChoice and other district systems may be unavailable. Officials stated that students should use the time available before or after the outage to finalize their schedules.
Finalizing and viewing schedules
All students are advised to check their schedules even if no changes are expected to ensure they are complete. Once the ClassChoice period concludes, schedules will be accessible on PowerSchool starting the week of July 27.
Requirements for specific student groups
Specific requirements apply to certain student groups. Tenth and eleventh graders must maintain a full schedule, and any empty periods will be filled with available classes. Students requiring open periods for internships, cosmetology, Dixie Tech, or Utah Tech University concurrent enrollment should contact their school counselor.
In-person assistance and support
In-person support for online class changes or ClassChoice assistance is scheduled for specific days. Juniors may visit on Monday, August 10, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and sophomores on Tuesday, August 11, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Seniors must attend their mandatory Senior College and Career Readiness meeting to make changes outside of ClassChoice.
