One million reservations for the Salt Lake Temple open house tour were claimed by people around the world in less than 24 hours, according to a September 1 statement.
The surge in demand followed the announcement of the Rejoice in Christ theme and the availability of free reservations online.
Because of anticipated global demand, tickets were scheduled to be released in batches leading up to 2027. Additional tickets will be made available in the coming weeks and months to allow individuals, families, and groups to plan visits.
Information regarding upcoming ticket releases will be shared through TempleSquare.org, the Temple Square app, the Temple Square email list, and official social media channels. Many other Salt Lake Temple Celebration experiences throughout Temple Square will not require reservations.
The Salt Lake Temple Celebration is scheduled to run from April 5 through October 1, 2027. The event will include the open house tour, exhibits, performances, service opportunities, and other experiences centered on Jesus Christ.
