A man was killed late Monday night after being struck by a vehicle near 4100 South and 700 East in Millcreek, according to a September 29 report from Gephardt Daily.
Sgt. Aymee Race, public information officer for Unified Police, stated that first responders were dispatched to the scene at approximately 11:51 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found the victim deceased in the northbound lanes of 700 East.
The driver involved in the crash remained at the scene, Race confirmed.
700 East was closed in both directions while the Unified Police Department’s Crash Analysis Reconstruction Team (CART) processed the accident site.
The identity of the pedestrian has not been released pending notification of family members, according to Race. No additional information was immediately available.
