The Church History Library has introduced a new website at ChurchHistoryLibrary.org, featuring various improvements and new features to help visitors more easily access information and resources.
The library serves as a global historical archive that collects, holds, and shares hundreds of thousands of historical records regarding The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and its members.
The library's digital and on-site resources include a catalog containing millions of items that can be viewed digitally or requested for on-site access. Other key resources available through the platform include a biographical database to learn about members of the Church, research guides compiled by librarians, and a blog providing news and research tips.
In addition to its headquarters in Utah, the library maintains satellite Church History Centers around the world. The institution also offers thousands of collections specifically designed to assist with family history research.
Visitors should note that the Church History Library will be closed on Friday and Saturday, July 24-25, 2026. Normal operating hours are scheduled to resume on Monday, July 27, 2026.
