Paul Mitchell Schools announced its Fall 2026 Open House event, themed "The Future Looks Beautiful," to showcase career opportunities in the beauty industry. The nationwide event invites prospective students to explore training for roles such as hairstylists, barbers, estheticians, nail technicians, and makeup artists.
Career Focused Education
The open house event offers prospective students a chance to experience classroom environments and learn about scholarship and financial aid options. Paul Mitchell Schools Dean and Cofounder Winn Claybaugh said the timing is significant as influential figures are increasingly highlighting the importance of the trades, including the professional beauty industry.
A 25-Year Legacy
The network, which was founded in 2001, is currently celebrating 25 years of operation. Over the last 23 years, the Paul Mitchell School network's annual FUNraising campaign has donated more than $28 million to various charitable causes through the Andrew Gomez Foundation.
Nationwide Network
The school network operates more than 90 independently owned and operated franchise beauty and barbering schools across the United States. These locations offer training in cosmetology, esthetics, and barbering, emphasizing both technical skills and business management.
Alumni Success Stories
The school's history includes diverse success stories from its alumni. For example, Yuri Sinata, a 2009 graduate of Paul Mitchell The School Pasadena, transitioned from working as a waitress to owning Palette Salon Studios in South Pasadena, California. Sinata, who moved to the United States from Indonesia in 2007, has since built a successful business as a hair and makeup artist.
Innovation and Contests
The school also holds various competitions to foster innovation among students. In 2020, the school held the "What's The Big Idea" contest, where participants submitted video concepts for new products, and the "Decades of Hair" TikTok challenge, which was created to celebrate the brand's 40th anniversary.
