Jordanelle State Park is offering 80 private boat slips located at the Hailstone Marina off Hwy 40. These slips are categorized and priced based on size and the availability of water and electricity.
To apply for a boat slip, an online application via a Google form link is posted to the park website from February 1st through February 15th. Applicants may only enter each registered boat once per category, as duplicate entries will be eliminated. Park staff will contact selected individuals through a single email and a single phone call. Once contacted, applicants have three business days to respond and accept the slip.
Permits are valid for one season, running from May 15th to October 15th. Permit holders are permitted to store boats in the marina parking lot during shoulder dates from May 1st to May 15th and October 15th to October 31st to assist maintenance teams with dock management during changing water levels.
Each permit includes one Jordanelle entrance hang tag, though this does not guarantee parking or accessibility if the park closes due to capacity. Trailer parking and dock boxes are not included with the permit. If a user wishes to install a dock box, they must receive approval from Park Management first.
Vessel size requirements are strict; the selected size must accommodate the swim deck and prop in addition to the hull size. If a vessel does not fit the selected size, the slip for the season will be forfeited. Additionally, slips are not available for commercial use, and only the vessel listed on the permit is allowed in the slip unless Park Management provides approval.
If an applicant is not awarded a slip for the current season, they are automatically added to a wait list. There is no cost to join the wait list, which remains available online to fill out all season and renews annually. Individuals can contact park staff via email to update contact information or slip selections.
