The Vernon Town Council is scheduled to hold its regular monthly meeting on Thursday, Sept. 30, 2026, according to a notice posted Sept. 24. The meeting will begin at 7:00 PM at the Vernon Fire Station located at 325 South Main Street in Vernon, Utah.
The meeting agenda includes the consideration of swearing in Melinda Johnson. Additionally, council members will consider reviewing fees for cemetery lots, major and minor subdivisions, and building permits.
During the proceedings, the council is expected to approve meeting minutes from the Sept. 3, 2026, public meeting. The session will also include public comments and reports from the police, clerk/treasurer, and fire chief.
Various reports are scheduled for the meeting, including updates from council members John Olson and Scott Livingston. Other reports will cover topics such as the Council of Government, cemetery, treasurer, roads, planning and zoning, grants, animal control, water, and ambulance/emergency management.
Micheal Cheatham is also scheduled to provide a fire report. The council will conclude the meeting by reviewing and paying town bills.
