BYU golfer María José "MJ" Barragán tied for 40th place at the 112th Canadian Women’s Amateur Championship held at The Toronto Golf Club.
Earlier, Barragán made the cut at the same championship after tying for 60th through two rounds of play.
In local competition, BYU golfer Whitney Banz competed in the 120th Utah Women’s State Amateur Championship.
Banz lost in the quarterfinals of the tournament held at Oakridge Country Club on Wednesday.
