A natural gas leak near 43 N 900 W. led to road closures and traffic congestion, according to a November 2 statement from the Salt Lake City Fire Department.
900 West was closed on the block to allow for isolation efforts and to make room for Endbridge crews.
The Salt Lake City Fire Department reported that the gas was dissipating into the open air during the response. Endbridge crews were on scene to evaluate nearby structures.
Endbridge eventually controlled the leak, prompting fire apparatus to begin clearing the incident site. While fire crews departed, Endbridge crews remained on site to complete necessary repairs.
Officials advised the public to avoid the area due to congestion caused by the incident.
