Evanston/Mt. View Ranger DistrictsArea, Trailhead And Interpretive Site ClosuresPROHIBITIONSPursuant to 16 U.S.C. § 551 and 36 C.F.R. § 261.50 (a) and (b), the following acts are prohibited on the National Forest System Area, Trailhead/Parking Areas and Interpretive Site in the Evanston/Mt. View Ranger Districts, Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forests. Described below and shown on the attached map incorporated into this Order as Exhibit A. This Order will be in effect Wednesday, July 22, 2026, and shall remain in effect until Tuesday, July 28, 2026, unless rescinded.Camping in or being upon the Area, parking at the Quarter/Corner Trailhead/Parking and Petroleum Interpretive site includes any type of motorized vehicle, all hikers, campers,

pedestrians, equestrians and bicycles as described below and shown on attached map.

[36 CFR 261.53 (e)]EXEMPTIONSPursuant to 36 C.F.R. § 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this Order:Persons with Forest Service Permit specifically exempting them from this Order or a written determination by a Forest Service authorized officer that a permit is not required under 36 C.F.R. § 251.50(e)(1) or (2).Any federal, state, or local officer, or member of an organized rescue or firefighting resource in the performance of an official duty.Federal or state administrative personnel in performance of an official duty.DESCRIBEDThe Area closure includes all Forest Service System Lands including Quarter-Corner Trailhead/Parking Area and Petroleum Interpretive site located in Township 3 North, Range 14 East, Sections 25, 26, 35 and 36 all within the Salt Lake Based Meridian and shown on attached map. All roads and trails in the closed area are open for travel through the closed area.PURPOSEPurpose of the closure is for public health and safety while Wildlife Specialists are assessing a nuisance bear.IMPLEMENTATIONThis Order will be in effect Wednesday, July 22, 2026, and shall remain in effect until Tuesday, July 28, 2026, unless rescinded.A map identifying the road is attached and made part of this Order as Exhibit A. For a digital version of this Order and Exhibit A, go to Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest - Alerts & Notices (usda.gov) .Unless otherwise expressly defined in this Order, the terms used in this Order are defined by the regulations of the Secretary of Agriculture, 36 C.F.R. Chapter II, Parts 200-299. If there are terms in this Order that are not expressly defined in the Order or 36 C.F.R. Chapter II, Parts 200-299, their meaning shall be determined by their plain language definitions.A violation of the above prohibitions is punishable as a Class B misdemeanor by a fine of not more than$5,000 for individuals and $10,000 for organizations, or by imprisonment for not more than six months, or both. 16 U.S.C. § 551; 18 U.S.C. §§ 3559, 3571, and 3581.Contact the Mt. View Ranger District in Mt. View, Wyoming (307) 782-6555, and National Forest Supervisor’s Office in South Jordan, Utah (801) 999-2103, for more information about this Order.This Order supersedes any previous Orders prohibiting the same or similar acts in/on the Area,
