As Shawn Blakey explained, this is the first year ZZ Nation has truly been together, and the reason the band formed was entirely based on popular requests from their fan base: ZZ Top’s music. ZZ Nation is originally from Los Angeles County in California, but—as Blakely explained—it can be a major challenge to start a cover or tribute band.
