Since the subject of nuclear has found its way into the Insider’s “Letters to the Editor,” I do agree that the idea of toxic waste does deserve some introspection. For well over a hundred fifty years, rural Utah’s make up has been defined by what is known by the idiom “salt of the earth,” which in lay terms refers to a person or group of people who are remarkably honest, kind, reliable, and humble.
